My Home Dies
We create new technology all in the name of a revolution A revolution that causes harm to the nation We burn the forests all in the name of making space for urban life Forgetting that healing comes from mother nature Earth isn't safe anymore Sea animals are frequent victims of ocean pollution They swim in oil spills and plastics instead of fresh water making it difficult for them to feed and tend their young ones It gets hotter by the season because of emissions of greenhouse gases which contribute to climate change and ozone depleting substances create larger holes in the ozone layer Ones upon a time I dreamt of having a wedding in the wedding But how can I when my favorite trees are failing to produce beautiful Lavendas each season when all they do is get contaminated with inorganic aluminum which prove toxic to plants How will I raise my children if all we do is inhale Carbon monoxide, Lead, Nitrogen oxides, Sulfur dioxide more than oxygen My home slowly dies, mother nature is slowly falling apart And if it does there will be no place called Home
