my heart ponders
the fear of the unknown has always been the reason I held on to feelings— and people— too tightly I thought holding on Was the only way to show i care. So I bore the bruise, Endured the pain , My arms growing weaker From the grip. Yet still , I refuse to let go For I fear grief will claim me The pain that comes, after letting go Becomes my predator.
