My heart hasn't said goodbye
Have you ever loved somebody so much it starts to hurt? Like every beat inside your chest reminds you of what you’re worth… Or maybe what I can’t let go. They smile and my whole world comes alive, Then they look away and I forget how to breathe. They’re everything I know I should let go, Every warning sign I chose to ignore. You know they’re poisonous… But my heart still calls your name. Every message, every memory, Every thought of you pulls me under. My heart starts racing all over again, Like it never learned what it meant to suffer. Have you ever been so madly in love it hurts? Even knowing how this ends… my heart still hasn’t said goodbye. I tell myself to stop, But I fall for you again before I even try. A weight like a storm across my chest, Crushing every hope that I’d moved on. So why does loving you feel like home… When my heart still hasn’t said goodbye? Panic lives inside the silence. Hope hides in every goodbye. I tell myself I’m over this, Then your shadow cuts right through my mind. You were never mine to lose… Yet somehow I still lose you every day. I keep fighting with my own heart, But it drags me back your way. Until then… I keep choosing distance, Even when my heart pulls me closer.
