My golden star
A golden star renounces my eyes with awe, Leaving me both astonished and apathetic. It influences my heart, breathing through its shining. It captures my peace Within its silent shape, Letting me quietly ramble, As my feet flee the night, Alongside its bright light. The star that renounces me, Blinding my eyes, Eager for all my attention, And all my sighs. I wonder— At the serenity of night, Chased by its beam. I wonder— At the starry lantern, That drags my hand, To write for its shine. That necessitates me, To look in its name. About what its mourn for The quiet fading flame it holds. And I, the watcher from afar, Am lit and lost in that brief star A flicker writes across my soul, Then dies, before I grasp it whole. —@kashish
