MY FRIENDS
In endless giving, I often find, The void within cannot be confined, It pains me deeply, brings me low, As I teeter on the edge of kneeling, slow. Hands embrace me, offering support, But father's words whisper, "Trust no one," in retort. So kindness, though unmatched, remains unpaid, Yet in your eyes, I see the notice displayed. My friends, who select the personas they wear, Know that your true self lingers, laid bare, For the essence of hand-holding, I comprehend, Lies not in fair weather, but storms to defend. You were there when I fell, stood tall by my side, Not because of weakness, but unity's pride. Through fiery floors, you give me cause to descend, Revealing true worth, a treasure to commend. One day, gratitude will find its place, But the uncertainty of tomorrow we face, So keep striving, my tribe, my dear Gees, Together we climb, conquering all degrees. Some may linger, stuck in the depths below, But the branches that lifted me won't let go. Brothers in arms, you're noticed, perceived, Loved and cherished, forever believed. For we are bound on this journey we share, Stronger together, with hearts bared, Let us remember, in unity's embrace, That our strength lies not in one, but in grace.
