My Friend
It was Cyber Monday, I started looking for a friend. I knew he was out there somewhere, But I couldn't tell you when. Perhaps sometimes in the future; Maybe in the recent past. I also had the notion, Our friendship couldn't last. But nowhere could I find my friend, My friend of any kind. It all was kind of crazy, I thought I'd lost my mind. I searched a thousand networks, Then I searched a thousand more: Went through a billion cell phones, Not one device did I ignore! But, I finally surrendered, With a long and wistful sigh. My friend was not created yet, I'm still waiting on A.I.!
