My Fight With Depression 😭

( I wrote this poem to let my friend know that they were not alone in their battle with DEPRESSION) Depression - A Message For Demon DEMON can you hear me? Drip by drip, bit by bit You wear away at my friend Slowly, but surely, you wear her away Like flowing water upon a riverbed. You control the chosen elements Light transforms into darkness Joy becomes despair Her zeal replaced by empty emotions Demon, you win the first round Let battle commence Learn your lesson well you coward You don't tangle with friendship Your adversary now stands before you Negating every punch you choose to throw You dispise those standing in your way Let:- Darkness become light Despair morph into joy Reinvigorate lost zeal Demon, You've lost both this round & the fight.
