My Father
My father’s not a flawless man, At times he acts like a child, not just now and then, Perhaps it stems from how he was raised, Or the love he missed in his youthful days. He’s made mistakes that caused us pain, Yet strives to mend what he can regain, He aims to be the father we all adore, Hoping for praise, wanting more and more. Though laziness may often define his way, He snoozes like a pig throughout the day, If he works, it’s just a fraction of the whole, Yet in our hearts, he plays a vital role. For all his flaws, he’s still our guide, The only father we have by our side.
