my face cries out for mercy
I'm starting to consume myself voluntarily and no longer just let things get the better of me. I let myself be carried away by things I know I shouldn't, but I always justify it with: "I'm young" or "once in a while is once in a while." It's never once. And I've known this from the start. I've reached the point where spending so much time in bed is so natural that when I get up I feel dizzy, my vision blurry, and if I don't brace myself I'll end up on the floor. Today I'm going to let myself go, as always. Tomorrow I'll regret it. My face cries for help more than it speaks. Now I see my empty eyes. And they barely see me, not even in the reflection.
