My Eulogy To Karen.

2023. This year marks the 40th anniversary since the passing of a deeply beloved person who played a major role in my emotional life at that time. Her name was Karen Carpenter (one half of a brother and sister singing duo) Although we never met, Karen and I spent many evenings together, Karen, singing her songs, me shedding my tears, for a love that both of us sought, but never discovered. Karen sang about love and heartbreak, with a voice so tender and heartwarming, yet overflowing with sadness. At age 32, Karen gave up her search for love, & left us to sing with the Angels. Your happiest songs brought me joy, your saddest, a river of tears. When you smiled, your smile became my smile. When your health was failing, your pain became my pain. You were always there for me during dark times. When you died a part of me died too. You struggled with finding love & happiness, you were not alone. You left me to join the Angels.
