My Demon Side
In the shadows where I linger, A darkness stirs deep within, A beast with claws that scratch my mind, Whispering of sins and secrets, It growls with hunger, it yearns to win. A face like mine, but twisted, fierce, Eyes burning with unholy fire, It roars in echoes, feeds on fears, A creature born of buried desires. I’ve fought it with chains of will, But it breaks free, seeking to devour, Each time I fall, it gains more power, Gleeful, it mocks as I cower. Yet in this dance of night and flame, I see a truth I can’t deny, This demon, a mirror of my shame, A part of me I cannot defy. It wears my face, it speaks my voice, Its hunger fed by pain and choice, But even demons tire of night, In the heart of darkness, there’s a light. I walk the line between dark and dawn, In battles lost, I’m reborn, For every demon hides a scar, A story told in silent wars. So here I stand, in this endless fight, With shadows cast in fading light, My demon side, a part of me, But I choose who I’ll be.
