My Days
The sun hits my skin Letting me know my day soon will begin I stretch, I grown, I yawn The gears in my brain start turning on I sit up in my bed Meditation to clear my head Take a shower with the water cold Wondering what the day may hold I make breakfast and turn on cartoons Mental preparation to set my mood Potty training all day long Trying my best to be a good mom Another load of laundry, folding tiny socks Time passing quickly on the clock Scrambling around making lunch Watching crumbs fly with every crunch Now it's time for her to nap She cuddles up on mommies lap. I cherish the snuggles for awhile Watch that little sleepy smile I wiggle myself out from underneath Enjoy the hour of just being with me. She wakes up and it's time to play Dinner and bath time on their way Nighttime bounces on the bed A bedtime story and a kiss on the head. That day is done as quick as it begun Exhausting and fun. Now I wait for the sun.
