MY DARK SHADOWS
My dark shadows rise and blind me, Tears flood my eyes, it's all I see. Silence has become my closest friend, I speak to the walls, with no voice to send. No one to run to, my sweat weeps deep, Kissing the floor through regretful weeks. Sometimes I wish the sun could see The burns in my heart that never leave me. Pain has made my voice go numb, But through my ink, the verses come. Each line I write, each breath I take, Is a silent cry I can’t fake.
