My canvas
For some it's tattoo For some it's piercing But seeing mine They'd say concerning The mind's storm is not pretty Like a demon, scary Once you get used to them To the voices in your head They don't seem to quiet Won't let me rest I feel nothing And forget many Now all I feel is unease And a few scratches I need a relief Even if someone catches Others don't understand I don't expect them to This is how I survive They are for me to remind It stings, but I like how it looks If my body is a canvas, I will paint as I do It's mine, and mine alone Lines look good on me
