My Beloved, Moon By Alexander I Long ago, on a peaceful night, My heart was filled with love’s delight, My eyes began to roam, As the moon began to glow. Full of feelings, I did find, A great happiness in mind, In her silver light I was lost, Even the stars seemed to exhaust. The darkness slowly fell around, But the moon’s white light still bound, I knew it wouldn’t last, Until it vanished, like the past. Suddenly, she hid from sight, And the sun began to rise so bright, Its light struck hard into my eyes, A sudden truth, no more disguised Ofc this was a translation of the original language It was written in!
