My Beautiful Ugly Love
If I have to speak Let me talk of love, In attempt to hide the hate For you making me a slave, How I dreaded my loyalty to you, As workers to the queen of a hive. I hated the external ugliness, But adored the beauty of your love. You know I usually cried, When your actions kept me alive, If you knew how much I bragged, To my foes about our love, They insisted on wanting to meet Okay...but how could I approve? Would they not laugh out their ribs If they beheld who held me captive. I was always mean, My actions to you, aggressive, Yet you never ceased In my moments to thrive, The pain I caused was much, But you seemed too naive You still held my heart, That forced me not to leave, Many times you could never imagine. On the other side, grass was greener, And so I left my fate to serve, I left you broken You did not want to live, I really can't tell, What it took for you to survive. Until I saw you with her... I now regret, I lost a gem No matter how extensive Everything has an end, I watched your love fade, A price so expensive I was left to pay, As you became inactive, And tossed our love in the pit of hell. If I come and beg Would be my love... Would forget the insults Would you have the nerve?
