My Age
I recall your first steps son, So many years ago. You were only almost one. That's a memory I know Will still be with me In many years to come. I am so much dimmer now Than I used to be. My age is wiping out my life And all my history. Finally, I will be gone; No more of me to see. But, as my future comes to pass; (I hope, in many years to come), In your memory, I still will be With your dear mom at home. And, we will live extended lives Within your mind, my son.
