Wisdom's beacon, in her eyes, does gleam, In Pimpleia, she weds in muses' dream. Against Thessalian daughters, she did compete, Turning their arrogance into birds fleet. In some tales, Corybantes claim her as kin, While Homer's verses in her praise begin. Virgil invokes her in the Aeneid's flight, Guiding heroes with her celestial light. In Dante's verse, her presence graces high, As divine inspiration fills the sky. Calliope, muse of epic's grand scope, With each word, in her glory, we elope. With tablet or scroll, her form portrayed, In golden crown, her essence conveyed. Oh, holy Calliope, muse sublime, In your embrace, we find our rhyme.
