moving on
In the quiet of the evening light, Where shadows cast their gentle might, I find a path, a winding way, To leave the past and greet the day. Your laughter lingers in the air, A melody that's sweet and rare, Yet in the echoes, I feel the tug, A bittersweet, familiar hug. We shared our dreams beneath the stars, In whispered hopes, we touched the scars, But time moves on, as rivers flow, And leads us where we're meant to go. With every moment that we spent, A tapestry of love was bent, Yet like the seasons, hearts can change, And life demands a rearrange. Step by step, I’ll take my flight, Into the dawn, beyond the night, Your memory will softly fade, Yet lessons learned will not be swayed. Thank you for the joy and tears, For laughter shared, and silenced fears, But now I rise, as wings unfurl, To greet the new, to meet the world. So here’s to us, to what we were, To shadows deep and laughter's blur, I’ll cherish time, but now I see, Moving on is setting free.
