Mother's eyes
My mother's eyes, always watching me, Each day filled with suspicion, can't you see? I've done no wrong, yet she doubts my every move, Her mistrust, like a shadow, I can't remove. Her gaze pierces through my soul, Questioning my every goal. I long to prove my innocence, But her doubts only grow in intensity. I wish she could see the truth, That I am honest, through and through. But her suspicions cloud her view, Leaving me feeling blue. Oh mother dear, why can't you see, That I am as pure as can be? I long for your trust, your belief, To rid me of this constant grief. So I'll continue to walk the straight and narrow, Hoping one day you'll see, without a shadow of doubt, That I am your child, your love, your pride, And that suspicion will no longer reside. ππΈ
