Morning came
morning came the night forgotten daylight surges forward to embrace my hunched form stuck in a quicksand an echo of despair still ricochet in my bones dizzy confusion fogs me before it dissipates into clarity I saw it the ladder to ascendancy I held on tenaciously my shadow precedes me neon warmth chases the blue blood once companion to my veins the azure sky a bold statement daring me to gaze for an eternity A photograph a souvenir a moment in time the chirping honey bird buzzing honeybees pecking woodpecker the cooing doves nature stirred a hymn of waking life the serene river heading west following his majesty in the sky sunlight glistens its humble waters Alas the day has waned as dusk, the bell ringer, encroaches magnetic trance of the sun broken nature changes a new season has arrived darkness sneaks in an espionage satellite changes frequency to almost a static that's when the herald of night New vanquished allies are heard a never ending scream frozen in time the moon a mere spectator in the dealings of night it's testament in secret passed on to her forbidden love she waits for his subtle presence before vanishing into the void before long it is morning
