Monster
The monster under my bed makes me dread, He's the same monster inside my head. The fear I have of this ghoul is often hard to shake, It's like he's the one I'm supposed to take. Still I try to have faith that things will be alright, For I know that I'll make it through this lonely night. But deep down, there's a speck of doubt That twisters my mind and turns it inside out. I can feel my heart beating with fear, For I know that it's going to take more than just cheer. The little voice inside my head torments me so, Tells me it's not going to be okay, and that I must let go. But I don't believe it, no not at all, I'm brave enough to this monster to face and to stall. For I know that eventually the fear will pass, But it's not the monster under my bed, it's the monster in my head.
