Monochrome Abyss
In a world once vibrant, now drained to grey, Where shadows writhe in muted dismay, The sun hangs low, a dim, dying flame, A ghost of warmth in a land of shame.Trees stand twisted, brittle, and bare, Their branches like claws in the thickened air, No leaves to fall, no life to cling, Just skeletal forms in a hollow ring. The rivers run black with poisoned veins, As earth drinks deep of its own dark pains, No flowers bloom, no scent to breathe, Just the stench of rot, of death's reprieve.Skies are smeared with ashen tears, Clouds that wail in voiceless fears, The wind, a howl, a mournful dirge, As hope is strangled at the world's last verge.Cities crumble, their bones exposed, Streets littered with dreams decomposed, No laughter echoes, no whispers speak, Just the endless groan of a world grown weak. The color bled out, life turned to stone, A morbid canvas, hollow and alone, Hell is here, not in flames below, But in the silence where nothing grows. For this is a place where despair takes root, Where every breath feels an iron boot, A world that died yet still it roams, An eternal graveyard with no tombstones.
