Money
Money, thou elusive and ephemeral entity, I perpetually pursue thee, yet thou persistently evade me. Through labyrinthine streets and avenues, I tirelessly search for thee, Only to find thee vanishing into thin air, leaving naught but a trail of despair. Thy presence is a chimera, a will-o'-the-wisp that beckons me deeper Into the quagmire of desperation, where the damned and the downtrodden reside. Thou art a siren, luring me with promises of prosperity and plenty, Only to dash my hopes upon the rocks of reality, leaving me shattered and forlorn. Thy absence has wrought havoc upon my family and friends, Leaving them to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. My sister, once a radiant and vibrant soul, now walks alone, Her pregnancy a constant reminder of the transience of life and the cruelty of fate. Marriages, once consecrated in love and devotion, now lie in tatters, Thy absence a cancer that has eaten away at the very fabric of our relationships. Thou art a thief, stealing away our joy, our peace, and our happiness, Leaving us with nothing but the bitter taste of regret and the aching void of longing. Many have sold their souls to thee, dear Money, sacrificing their dignity and self-respect
