Moment Of Heartbreake

It feels as if time will not heal me. I just feel stuck. I am not stuck in the past but I am stuck in a moment that is just poignant. I replay the moment you stopped loving me in my mind every waking minute. We were sitting outside in the gazebo with her and your sister. They had gotten up to go inside and I peeked up at you in hopes of seeing a smile on your face telling me you still love me without words. As they walked away while you were watching, your eyes were only looking at her. I was looking at you looking at her. Then you snapped out of the bewitching trance you were in. You snapped back into reality and looked so disappointed that it was me beside you and not her. I had never felt invisible till that moment. I felt you look past me to find another that you had once loved. I will never forget the moment that you fell out of love with me. I will stay with you. I choose to stay with someone who no longer loves me. That wasn’t just the moment you fell out of love with me it was also the moment I stopped loving myself.
