Misunderstood
I was misunderstood. I thought, to be understood. Was what I wanted. It wasn't. It was to be seen. To be felt. To be heard. To be valued. But not by them. To be seen by myself, was what I craved. I turned away, from myself. And looked towards them. Feeling this constant burning. Not realizing, It was me putting my hand in the fire. Taking my hand out. Placing on my face. To finally feel myself. And enter into my space. No longer seeking validation. I validate myself. Not with words of affirmation. But with a knowing, I am with myself.
