Missouri misery
I'm drowning in the misery. Down in old Missouri and if you ask me why I just won't leave? It's because this place is home to me. I done came up from the gloomy side. I have seen how high the glory rise. I done seen the family Point and laugh at me. Then I watch them turn they're backs on me. I had to watch my baby cry in fright. Now I'm ready to die next because she closed her eyes and now I'm drowning in the misery down old Missouri. And when you ask me why I just don't leave it? because this place is home to me.
