Miss Me
You say I’m the one you miss, Then you look at me and hiss. I’m the one that you dismiss And the one you’ll never kiss. You’re saying “Don’t leave me” Just to leave me yourself. You want to deceive me, Make me question myself. You say that you miss me, But then you run away. If I know you don’t love me, Why do I still find a way To pretend that you want me And say “Maybe one day”? When you make me stay Just to leave for a day, Makes me feel like a stray With nothing to play. I walk through the bay, See my soul turn gray. My heart at display, You said “It’s okay”, Then watch me decay. I know I’m your prey, I have to obey, Or you’ll make me pay, My heart you will slay, And you’ll hit replay, Repeat it today. You say that you miss me, But you won't release me. I'm glad you won't kiss me, 'Cause you'll only tease me. You say that you love me, Then why won't you persist? Shouldn't be above me If I was the one you missed.
