Misleading Me
Your words like shadows, twisting light, Promises whispered in the night. You painted dreams I longed to see, But all along, you were misleading me. A smile that hid a secret plan, Truth slipping through an open hand. I trusted what I thought was real, Only to find the wounds won't heal. Now I stand where lies collide, With broken trust I cannot hide. Misleading me was easy to do-But the truth's here now, shining through.
