Misery of being a woman
In the depths of my misery, I searched for reasons Asking God, my soul haunted by demons "Why must women bear the weight of suffering?" No answer was heard, not even muttering "Was Eve to blame for our restless nights? Her hand, tempted by the serpent's lights Did her choice cast a shadow upon our souls?" Still, no response . The silence of God fueled an inner fire, Amidst my fury, my voice rose higher. "No, Lord, it was not I who devoured the fruit, Forced upon me, in my thrembeling throat it was put But it was not only me Injustice served many of us,we can agree" The bloodied wounds of countless sisters unseen, Their cries ignored, they were called unclean For women have carried the burdens of time, They were the victims of unknovn crime Yet still, strength emerges from depths of despair, We rise above to prove it was unfair Unveiling the scars that blemish our skin Revealing the stories that were declared a sin.
