"Mirror Familiar"
I looked into the glass and did not find myself. Instead, a shadow purred back, eyes older than mine, knowing, unblinking. Was it warning or welcome? A guardian, a trickster, or the shape of the self I hide in silence? Strange, how the mirror does not lie— it only chooses which truth to show tonight.
