Mirror
In the deserted part of my being, lies my last straw She stares at the mirror long and hard, In her words "I see the chairs behind" " I see the bland color of my room" "The curtains that need be changed" "The table that has served as my alter for days filled with books and candles" "My phone with just a caller " "A body before me" "But I don't see me" "The face that once flushed with unending smiles" "The devotion of happiness and never dull" "The unwaivering willingness to show up" All she sees now is a pale body trying to secure a future she might not even be in.
