Mine
I called you mine with quiet grace, A whispered claim I couldn't erase. Your laughter lit my jealous flame, Not love alone—a need to name. I traced you in each spoken word, In silences I sharply heard. Each glance you gave the world outside Felt like a theft I had to hide. I caged you not with chains or bars, But questions masked as soft regards. “Where were you?”—just concern, I'd say, While trust kept bleeding day by day. Possessive love wears passion's face, But underneath, it steals your space. It says forever, only you, Then clips your wings to make it true. Yet now I see love isn’t tight, It isn’t fear that grips at night. If it is real, then let it roam— Not prisoned heart, but chosen home
