Mind's Crime
Ten thirteen blink the digits in my alarm, 'Oh well, guess just one more snooze would do no harm!' Atleast I've said that for the nth bloody time, Will my quick tongue be punished for such a crime? With my right hand numb and its fingers sore, I'm still reading your poems, just two more a scroll. Atleast I've said that for the nth brutal time, Will my quaky hands be punished for such a crime? It's past thirty down the morning hour of ten, I ain't eaten yet since last night at seven. If I chomp your writings in meter-and-rhyme, Will my dried mouth be punished for such a crime? Heard my lover's footsteps coming up the stairs, Still I'm lost in poet's words; fancy mind affair! If I've fallen in love with your mind's sublime, Will my weak heart be punished for such a crime? ©reddragonfly
