mind games
mind games In shadows cast by twilight's eerie glow, A world unseen by others starts to grow. Whispers drift on winds that none can hear, And phantoms walk in silence, drawing near. mind games Their eyes, unblinking, watch me in the night, Figures draped in sorrow, void of light. No comfort found in crowds or empty rooms, For always there, the specters of my doom. mind games Voices murmur secrets in my ear, Threads of madness spun in webs of fear. "You're crazy," they insist, dismissing dread, "It's all just fabrications in your head." mind games But how can they deny what I perceive, The hollow faces in the dusk that weave Through shadows, creeping closer, never far, Invisible to others, like a scar. In daylight's glare, they fade but still remain, A constant whisper, echoing my pain. No solace found in words of disbelief, For isolation is my silent grief. They don't understand this endless plight, The constant vigil in the dead of night. Mocking my reality with careless ease, "Shut up," they say, "it's just a mind's disease." Yet here I stand, alone in crowded halls, A prisoner of these spectral, unseen walls. Haunted by the ones no others see, Lost in a realm that won’t set me free. mind games In darkness
