Miles apart
miss you, why? You’ve gone far too soon. Night after night, I look up to the sky, longing. Where are you? We promised to be like opposite sides of a magnet pulled, never pushed, held by invisible truth. Now we are like the moon and stars, seeming close, but miles apart. I still hear the trees whisper your name in the silent night, and birds sing our favorite song, as if the world still remembers what my heart tries to forget. Windian X
