Miles
Miles may stretch, a lonely sea, Between your heart and close to me. I see your face, a glowing screen, And wish that distance wasn't mean. Your voice, a comfort in the night, A shining beacon, burning bright. We laugh and talk, and share our days, Despite these separate, winding ways. But oh, the longing in my soul, To make you truly, wholly whole, To hold your hand, to feel you near, And wipe away each silent tear. This feeling we share, a fragile thing, A hopeful song that we both sing. Sweet is the hope, the future bright, Bittersweet the lonely, starlit night.
