midnight rambles
Rain you curse, drought you fear. Spring you praise, autumn sustains. No mountain high, no ocean deep— a placid river unmans the weak. Greyer his hair, stronger his resolve. Younger the lips, louder his mind. Harder you push, breeze unfazed. A phantom in the mirage— was I ever there? I pledge with the elements and all that you see. Your prayers and pleads— I answer all. Remember: We tried. I tried. Yet you failed.
