"Middle of June"
As June's skies reach their peak, I'm surrounded by darkness, it seems. The moon's glow fades from the night, The sun's spark dims, its fire no longer bright. Everything feels dull and black, Like a piece of me is missing, a heart that's cracked. City lights shine bright in the dark of night, A beacon in my lonely world, a guiding light. I sit alone, lost in starry skies, Wishing to be one, to catch the world's eyes. Maybe then, my worth will be seen, Maybe then, love and care will be mine to glean. The stars are admired by all, it's true, Maybe then, I'll be loved, my heart beating anew.
