Middle Aged Angst
The sun is setting, the stars are aligning But I'm feeling lost, I'm not quite shining The world keeps spinning, but I'm stuck in place Trying to find my way, trying to keep the pace But these days feel empty and so surreal All my thoughts are scattered, I can't seem to feel Lost in this void, searching for a sign Will I ever find my way back to being fine? I used to have dreams, I used to have fire Now all that's left is this burning desire To find myself again, to find my true voice But it's hard when all I hear is just noise But these days feel empty and so surreal All my thoughts are scattered, I can't seem to feel Lost in this void, searching for a sign Will I ever find my way back to being fine? I know I can't give up, I've come too far But sometimes it feels like I'm chasing a star In an endless sky, with no end in sight But I'll keep on going, with all of my might Cause these days may be empty and so surreal But I won't let them break me, I'll learn how to heal Lost in this void, but now I see the light I'll find my way back and everything will be alright.
