Mermaid
Listen to my mournful song, Listen to my regret. I left the world which I belong And got into a net. Deep down in the water There's a mermaid, she cries, Cries with her big blue eyes. Deep down in the water She looks to the skies And waits for the sun to rise. Listen to my sisters' cry, They grieve the youth I lost. When the sun rise, I know I'll die For the one that I loved the most. I know I will never be loved But I don't want the same for you. I wish you a long happy life That's all I can do. In the morning, come to the shore, Pick up the largest shell. You will hear the ocean waves roar - That is my last farewell. Deep down in the water There's a mermaid, she cries, Cries with her big blue eyes. Deep down in the water She looks to the skies And waits for the sun to rise.
