Me(n)u
On the table, pieces of a possible me and u. Waiting to see you taste and realize, That each part was prepared especially for you. You looked at the menu, eyes so cold. And skipped the "me" for something bold. I offered to love you, With a hint of something new, But you craved the spice I never knew. As dessert, a bitter truth, You didn't want me to love, And all I got was shattered youth. But I'm not a menu you can look through, I just longed for a me and you.
