mental health
time creeps up to eat me whole an incurable malady trapped inside a fishbowl I can no longer fix myself I've been fractured for so long I detest myself, for I am all that is wrong if I could paint my world and step into the dark-coloured canvas I'd paint the roaring ocean and leave the scenery landless how do I tell my loved ones that I'm dying inside every breath I breathe fights to keep me alive yet there's nothing to live for, not anymore not when I've died a thousand times before My mind is unwell, and I have no control over this illness it's taken my life, and like a prisoner, it condemns me to stillness like a slave, I've obeyed, like a thief I've stolen extra time like a recluse, I've stayed inside these walls of my troubled mind I don't want to be here, not anymore I'm physically drained. mentally exhausted I can't even remember the girl I once was before so please, someone tell me why should I stay just to exist Lord knows I've prayed for miracles, but I don't think they exist I've pleaded with the gods and any higher powers up there perhaps they can't hear me, perhaps they don't care I am but a coward for a quick exit seems so final so I live daily with this punishment
