Memory
I stand in the bathroom. I have a staring contest with myself. The mirror wins, the tears stinging at my eyes too much to bear. My eyes meet the stained blade on my sink counter. I blink, I let out a shaky breath, and it comes crashing down on me. The tears fall down my cheeks, down my chest. They drip to the floor, and they dont seem to stop. So does the blood down my forearms, my wrists, through thin lines in my skin. So does all the feelings shoved deep inside of me. So does all the sound drowning out of my ears, being replaced with a sharp ringing So does my eyesight, blurring by the waterfall of tears I can't breathe. I'm trembling, my hands feel weak, and there's suddenly a sharp, painful pain in my chest. I feel like i'm going to throw up. "I'll never be enough."
