memory
On the first day of kindergarten I told you that you, you were always going to be my best friend... I didn't think about our age gap, didn't understand that later girls, girls like to trap hard working boys. On the first day of middle school I told you that you, you were always going to be my date for dances.. I forgot all about the "small chances" because no one other than me really gave you a second glance. on that night of my first homecoming I told you that I was happy, you smiled and I decided no matter how sappy, I was gonna say three words later that night. you spun me around once, it wasn't even a slow song, but they way you did it gave my blood an extra flow. After my first homecoming, I told you that I wanted you to stay the night, never realized there was a different girl that I had to fight, you told me no you had to get home, I checked your location hours later because I never got that text... it wasn't your's but it was hers? The last first Monday of the week I'd be 14 I told you that I wanted you to come with me to the haunted hay rides, you told me no your girlfriend didn't like that, It was beginning to be your new favorite word, it cut me deep like a newly sharpened sword.
