Memories
Memories of every soul we meet, things we lost we can’t repeat. Moments gone, we can’t rewind, yet they stay deep in the mind. Memories both joy and pain, like softest sunshine, pouring rain. They made us laugh, they made us break, yet every memory we still take. Memories that guide our fight, through darkest days and longest night. Golden pieces we cannot trade, yet in our hearts, they slowly fade. Memories we dare revisit, even when they slowly split us. Sweet and bitter, mixed inside, where all our silent feelings hide. Memories that fall like tears, echoing through endless years. People once who held us close, now just memories we miss the most. Sometimes we try to let them go, to heal the pain, to let life flow. But still they come, they still remain, like whispered echoes of the pain. We cry not for what has passed, but for the love that couldn’t last. For all the warmth that used to be, now living only in memory. Memories we gently hold, some are warm, and some grow cold. Though they break and make us ache, still they’re the reason we awake. Painful though they often stay, we carry them along the way. And even when they make us fall, memories still become our all.
