memoir's from an abused wife
The constant abuse The 'painful' pain The repeated taunting The hurtful rejection The endless punches Oh, is there no end? My once beautiful body, now a canvas of scars My once beautiful voice is now lost My once colourful life is now colourless. I saw the world in colour, now all I see is black and white. I once spread light, now I'm darkness myself. I don't see the stairs while trying to escape A wrong step brings me tumbling down I can see the light now Finally the end has come I smile and close my eyes. I'm finally leaving this hellhole. "O my" I can see myself I'm trapped here in limbo Why didn't I just end immediately "See the snake", I hissed. He weeps over my body attracting sympathy "O his poor wife tripped down the stairs" "He is a loving husband" "He hasn't left her side" I'm sure he can't wait to continue the abuse. If only they knew the devil within Well I have a first hand experience. I pray I never come back, because someone has to die. I'm sure this time it wouldn't be me.
