Melancholy Heart
I was born with a type of sadness that never ceases. I walk this earth with a rehearsed smile. I am so tired of pretending. Why do I care about others’ feelings above my own? How can I feel full and satisfied with living? Some days, I wish to go to sleep and not have to wake so heavy. Save me, take me somewhere quieter— somewhere I can rest without disappearing.
