Melancholy
Tears falling like rain, She seeks shelter from the pain; As the drops ricochet, Against the frame, Of the window pane. Trying to keep her emotions tame; But they've engulfed her and became, A category 5 hurricane. Each tear comes with its own allegory, Like the scrapbook she kept, Locked inside her repository; Every time she wept, Has become compensatory. Every picture is a scripture, Telling the story, Of how her memories became, Her personal purgatory. As the storm outside subsides, The last tears caress the terrain, One last kiss from the skies As the sun looks down in disdain. ©️
