meeting a friend
water droplets dripping down my neck I'd stopped here to hide from the rain thinking this tree would do the trick. it's girth too wide for my arms to span it's height about 10 feet it's bark gnawled and furrowed it's leaves giving me some shelter but reminding me that you can't hide all the time it's inner voice telling me to carry on I'll be here long after your gone how did it know, of the tears I've shed of my hopes now gone the years disappeared I'd stopped by this tree thinking it's leaves would do the trick go out into rain, don't hide, remember those days dreams and hopes this tree indeed had done the trick
